Al Gore 국제환경NGO 기후프로젝트 (The Climate Reality Project) 자원활동가 Climate Reality Leader 양성 국제리더십교육행사가 2016년 3월 14일 - 16일 3일동안 필리핀 마닐라에서 개최되며, 필리핀 마닐라 국제리더십교육행사 참가자를 모집합니다.

기후프로젝트

기후프로젝트는 기후변화 위기의 심각성을 알리고, 해결을 위한 시민실천운동을 전개함으로써 지속 가능한 환경을 회복시키는 것을 목적으로 합니다. 기후프로젝트는 노벨 평화상을 수상한 앨 고어(Al Gore) 미국 전부통령에 의해 2006년에 설립된 비영리 기후변화 리더십 프로그램으로 현재 전 세계 4,000여명의 헌신적인 활동가들로 운영되며, 지금까지 800만 여명을 대상으로 교육을 시행하였습니다. 기후변화 대중교육 및 실천운동 확산에 중요한 역할을 하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다.

한국지부에서는 국내외 행사를 통해 역량 있는 활동가들을 계속 양성하고, 여건이 되는대로 활동가 양성 국제행사를 국내에서 개최하여 200명 이상의 활동가를 양성함으로써 국내 기후변화 대중교육 및 실천운동 확산에 중요한 역할을 하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다.

Climate Reality Leader

Climate Reality Leader는 전 부통령 앨 고어가 제공하는 교육 프로그램을 통해 지역 사회에 기후 위기에 대한 교육을 하는 활동가를 말합니다. 여기에 참여하는 리더들은 기후위기 해결이라는 목표를 위한 다양한 활동에 참여하면서, 기후 프로젝트(The Climate Reality Project)에서 제공된 슬라이드 쇼를 사용하게 됩니다.

기후프로젝트(The Climate Reality Project)의 활동을 국제적으로 확산시키기 위해, 단체 설립자인 Al Gore 전 미국 부통령이 직접 참여, 행사를 주관하는 국제행사입니다. Al Gore 전 미국 부통령에 의해 직접 교육을 받아 양성된 기후프로젝트 기후변화리더(TCRP Climate Leader)들은 기후변화 문제 해결을 위한 오피니언 리더로서의 역할을 하게 함으로써 기후프로젝트가 국내 기후변화 대응 범국민적 실천운동을 확산시키는 주도적 역할을 담당하고자 합니다.

1. 영어 강좌 청취 및 간단한 토론/토의 가능할 것

2. 교육이수 후 1년간 10회 이상의 기후변화 대중교육(Presentation)활동의 실행을 서약하는 분

ATTEND A CLIMATE REALITY TRAINING WITH AL GORE

MaRCH 14-16 IN 2016: BECOME A CLIMATE REALITY LEADER

The Climate Reality Leadership Corps training in Manila, Philippines, which will be held March 14-16 in 2016, will bring together a select group of individuals committed to addressing the impacts of climate change and implementing the solutions that will define us to future generations. This training is an opportunity to join a global network of leaders committed to solving the climate crisis.

Over the course of three days, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from experts who will share information about the science behind the climate crisis as well as their experiences educating and engaging diverse networks and communities. You will also have the chance to connect with a group of extraordinary leaders from a variety of sectors and countries around the world.

"Life changing," "re-affirming," and "empowering" are just some of the ways past participants have described their experience. Come as a leader, leave as a Climate Reality Leader.

2016 Philippines Training Application

To become a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, you must apply and be accepted to attend one of our trainings with our Chairman, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore.

The application period for the Philippines training is now open. And we will be accepting applications until January 22 (Fri), 2016.

Key points about Climate Reality Leadership Corps trainings:

< >Climate Reality Leadership Trainings are completely self-funded by attendees.  There is no fee to attend the training, but you will need to pay for your own travel and lodging. During the training, The Climate Reality Project will provide all training materials.Climate Reality typically offers some merit-based scholarships. We encourage applicants to seek funding elsewhere whenever possible, through other organizations, businesses, community groups, and other similar sources.All trainings are in English. If English is not your primary language, you will be required to do your own personal translation of materials during and after the training, except when otherwise noted.Completing the training means you will be a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps and join our global network of Climate Reality Leaders.Climate Reality Leaders commit to a minimum of ten (10) activities with The Climate Reality Project, including presentations, media, advocacy and other events within a year after attending a training, and will be required to sign an agreement prior to the training.If accepted, you must attend all three (3) days of the training.A parent or legal guardian must give permission for a minor between the ages of 13 and 18 to attend the training. A parent or legal guardian must accompany an attendee who is under the age of 13 and both parties must apply and be accepted in order to attend the training. To become a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, you must apply and be accepted to attend one of our trainings with our Founder and Chairman, former US Vice President Al Gore.

By law, Climate Reality cannot collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age online. Those who are under 13 years of age who wish to apply for the Climate Reality Leadership Corps training should not submit any personally identifying information about themselves on the application and should have their parent or legal guardian contact our team at training@climatereality.com.

OVER THE COURSE OF THREE DAYS, PARTICIPANTS WILL:

• Learn from our Founder and Chairman former US Vice President Al Gore, how to communicate the urgency of the climate crisis to people everywhere

• Learn how to combine science and solutions to engage audiences

• Learn to inspire others to take action

• Hear from subject experts in such fields as strategic communications, climate science, and grassroots organizing

• Network with global leaders and influencers

• Information about the training venue and accommodations will be emailed to participants after they have been accepted to the training

There is no cost to attend the training. However, participants must pay for their own travel and accommodations.
