영화 팬들이 베를린에 홍수처럼 모여들었습니다

스타들의 레드카펫 워킹을 보기 위해서였는데요

at the premiere for Darren Aronofsky's latest movie Noah.

대런 아로노프스키의 신작 영화 <노아>가 초연되는 자리였습니다.

The film star Russell Crowe as the Biblical figure

영화배우 로셀 크로우가 성경 속 인물을 연기하게 됐는데요

who built an ark to save his family and pairs of animals from a great flood.

그의 가족과 한 쌍의 동물들을 대홍수로부터 구하기 위해 방주를 지은 인물이죠

While Crowe was not in attendance at the Berlin screening,

베를린 상영회에는 러셀 크로우가 참석하지 않았지만

his co-stars, Emma Watson, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman and Jennifer Connelly

그와 함께 연기한 배우인 엠마 왓슨, 더글라스 부스, 로건 레먼과 제니퍼 코넬리는

took plenty of time to speak to fans, sign autographs and do interviews.

팬들과 대화하고, 사인을 하고 인터뷰를 하는 데 많은 시간을 내주었습니다.

It has just got so many layers,

이건 굉장히 다층적인 영화에요

it is really, on the one hand, it’s kind of this action film,

한 편으로는 액션 영화라고 할 수 있고,

and then it is also this very intimate family drama that plays out.

다른 한 편으로는 잔잔한 가족 드라마이기도 하죠.

It is also weirdly kind of a road movie.

또 이건 이상하게도 로드 무비이기도 해요

It has kind of a little bit of everything in it,

모든 장르가 조금씩 녹아 있죠

it is really beautifully crafted and really original.

아주 아름답게 그려진, 독창적인 영화에요.

And I think, I hope people will love it.

많은 분들이 좋아해 주셨으면 좋겠어요.

While Emma hopes that people will love the film,

엠마 왓슨은 사람들이 영화를 좋아해주기를 바란다는데요

it has already been banned in three Arab countries on religious grounds.

이 영화는 이미 3개의 아랍 국가에서 종교적 이유로 금지되었습니다.

Ground: 근거, 이유

As depicting holy figures in works of art is frowned upon in Islam.

예술작품에서 신성한 인물을 묘사하는 것은 이슬람에서 꺼려지거든요.

But director Darren Aronofsky didn't seem to be worried.

하지만 대런 아로노프스키 감독은 걱정하지 않는 것 같군요.

I don't think there really is that big of a controversy.

별로 논란될 것도 없다고 생각해요.

Controversy: 논란

Most of the controversy is about the unknown.

대부분의 논란은 잘 알지 못하기 때문에 나오는 거예요

I think as soon as people start to see the film, tonight and in the following weeks,

사람들이 오늘밤 그리고 앞으로 몇 주 동안 이 영화를 보기 시작 하면

the controversy is going to disappear.

논란은 금방 사라질 겁니다.

People have to see the film and see how it relates to them.

사람들은 영화를 보고 영화가 어떻게 공감될 수 있을지 생각해야 해요

Relate to something: ~와 관련이 있다, 연결되다

But, you know, I think the oldest stories in the world are the classics

아시다시피 세상에서 가장 오래된 이야기는 고전 이야기들이고

and they relate to all of us.

우리 모두에게 공감될 수 있습니다.

There is something about water,

물에 대한 것도 있고

there is the flood that we all can understand, that is deep in our souls.

It doesn't matter where you are from on the planet, what religion you are,

Noah belongs to everyone.

<노아>는 모두의 것입니다.

And so getting the story out there on the big screen for the first time

이 이야기를 처음으로 대형 스크린에 상영하는게 됐는데

it will be interesting to see how people react  and what people are saying about it.

사람들이 어떤 반응을 보일지, 영화에 대해 뭐라고 할지 매우 재미있을 것 같아요.

While the fans cheered for all the stars on the carpet,

팬들은 레드카펫에 선 모든 스타들에게 환호성을 보냈지만

it was Emma Watson that most of them had turned out to see.

대부분의 팬들이 주목한 것은 엠마 왓슨이었습니다.

And even her co-star Douglas Booth couldn't help reminiscing about sharing an on screen kiss
